You know I went to Canada Propeller site and filled out the form to request prop pricing etc. Two weeks ago no answer. They just lost a sale because I need a new one ASAP going out for 10 days starting next Saturday.

That is very odd because i did the same thing and had a reply back within the week. Maybe try it emailing them again, who knows could have been a glitch in the web server.

Why is there never enough time to do it right the first time, but always enough to do it right the second time.

Delighted to hear you have the problem solved. I was going to, once again, suggest the exorcist but you found the problem

Where are you heading? We are heading out for 3 or 30 days and might run into you again. As you recall, I bought the beer on our last meeting, so it's your turn :P

Have you tried Precision Propeller in Surrey? Could you get the coupler changed out rather than buying new?
I had a prop done by Precision, good quality reasonable price.

Yes that is where I am going when and if I get home. Halibut banks is 20knts and Sandheads is 17. Precision serviced the prop that failed told me at the time it was junk. There is another story as to how my prop was junk but I will save that for my memoirs. They quoted me $600.00 for a Solas. They had it in stock. I can get it out of the states for about $450.00 but I am going to shop local.

So the fact your going between 3 and 30 days is a shot at us poor working folks :)

We are at Otter Bay on the long weekend then on to Rouch and Friday Harbour. May end up at Ganges or Montegue after Friday want to get back into Canada before Memorial weekend. My memory fails me I don't remember you buying last time.

HaHa - it was worth a try.

Actually, we hope to get out tomorrow; down to Ganges for a couple of days and then back via Conover Cove for a night or two. Want to make sure everything is working before we haul and paint the bottom next week.

Have a great trip. Sounds like a great itinerary.
